When using features such as AI instant reply, you may want to create custom prompts. Here is a full guide for you to use prompt in the Instant reply menu, Edit or review draft menu and Quick compose menu.
How to add new prompt?
Accessing my own prompts
- Open the sidebar.
- Locate the settings button in the bottom right corner and click it.
- This action takes you to a new page. There, you’ll find the entrance to My Own Prompts as the second option on the left side.
- Access the main interface of My own prompts and select the Instant reply menu in the second tab.
Add new prompt
Take a look at these 3 sub-tabs and 3 buttons you will use when adding a new prompt to the Instant reply menu.

Under the “Instant reply” tab, you’ll find three choices:

Instant Reply: For 1-click responses to emails, social media comments, and messengers.

Edit or Review Draft: For editing and reviewing drafts in progress.

Quick Compose: For drafting new emails or social media posts quickly.

Select one of these options to access your custom prompts in the corresponding menu.

Prompts you create within each sub-tab will be found in their respective sections.

New Prompt: Create a new prompt from scratch or by modifying an existing one.

New Prompt Group: Click this button to create a new group for organizing your prompts.

Custom Prompt Order: Use drag-and-drop functionality or the “Top” button to rearrange the order of your prompts as desired.
To add new prompt, please click the “New prompt” button in your selected sub-tab.
Set up basic configuration
- Name: A field for the prompt’s name.
- Icon: Choose an icon to visually represent the prompt.
- AI Response Language: The AI response will use the language selected here. But if this option is disabled , AI will automatically choose the language to respond. You can find this option in the settings under “Languages”.
- Visibility: Specify which websites the prompt will be visible, with options to enable specific sites.
- Once the above options are set, click the “Next, Add Prompt” button or the “Prompt” tab to edit the actual content of your new prompt.

Interface overview (Instant reply menu)
- Prompt template*: This is a label for the input field where you can define the template for the prompt. The asterisk (*) indicates that this is a required field.
- Capabilities: Select or view the necessary capabilities.
- Context: {Use special variables like {CURRENT_WEBSITE_DOMAIN}}, {{SYSTEM_CURRENT_DATE}}, {{FULL_CONTEXT}} and {{TARGET_CONTEXT}}*. These variable placeholders will be dynamically replaced with actual data when the prompt is used.
- {{CURRENT_WEBSITE_DOMAIN}} will be replaced with: the current website’s domain
- {{SYSTEM_CURRENT_DATE}} will be replaced with: today’s date(ex:2024-11-12)
- {{FULL_CONTEXT}} will be replaced with: The entirety of the context. For example: If you are replying to an email, then this variable placeholder will be replaced by the entire content of the email.
- {{TARGET_CONTEXT}} * will be replaced with: selected context content or the specific context you are dealing with.For example: if you are replying to an email, this placeholder will be substituted with the relevant parts of the email thread.”
- Add new variables: This is a section where you can define additional variables to be used within the prompt. There is an ‘Add’ button to include new variables.
Edit your customized prompt (Instant reply menu)
You are now ready to start customizing your personal prompt.
- Enter your prompt in the text box at the bottom left.
- Select the needed variable placeholders. You must use at least the {{TARGET_CONTEXT}} placeholder.
- Once you’ve edited your prompt, test it in the preview panel to the right. You can tweak the AI model’s settings during the test to refine the language.
- Click the “Create” button in the top right corner to finish. The prompt can then be accessed using the context menu or rearranged in settings using drag-and-drop or the “Top” button.
- Wait for the green “Success updated” hint at the bottom left. This means your prompt was created successfully.
Add your own variables (Instant reply menu)
Certainly, while editing your own prompt, you can add your own custom variables by clicking on “Add new variables”. By using your own variable placeholders, you can adjust the language, tone, and writing style to fit the context and boost productivity.
- In the first column, type the variable name.
- In the second column, add a placeholder for the variable. A placeholder usually represents a basic value or indicates what kind of information will go into the variable.
- Click the “Add” button to complete the addition of the variable.

Using prompt in instant reply menu
There are 3 sub-tabs under the Instant reply tab: Instant reply, Edit or review draft and Quick compose. Prompts you create within each sub-tab will be found in their respective sections.
In Instant reply menu
For instance, your custom prompt in the Instant menu and saved settings will appear when you use the Instant reply feature for emails, social media comments, and messenger responses.
In Edit or review draft menu
Your custom prompt in the Edit or review draft Menu and successfully saved settings will appear when you use the relevant feature for editing and reviewing drafts in progress.
In Quick compose menu
Your custom prompt in the Quick compose Menu and successfully saved settings will appear when you use the relevant feature for drafting new emails or social media posts quickly.
